
Adam Augenstein
Adam Augenstein is a highly experienced personal trainer, exercise physiologist, and coach with over 18 years of hands-on experience helping individuals transform their health, strength, and confidence.
Adam’s journey into fitness began at a young age. At 11 years old, he weighed nearly 290 lbs and struggled with obesity. Through structured training, proper nutrition, and discipline, he lost over 90 lbs within six months—an experience that sparked a lifelong passion for fitness, human performance, and behavior change. What started as a personal transformation evolved into a professional calling.
Adam earned his first personal training certification in 2006 and went on to receive a degree in Exercise Physiology from Adelphi University, along with multiple certifications through NASM. His coaching blends evidence-based strength training, metabolic conditioning, mobility, and recovery to create programs that are effective, sustainable, and individualized.
In addition to working with the general population, Adam specializes in training individuals with special needs and diverse abilities. He is certified through Special Strong and brings a deeply empathetic, patient, and adaptive approach to coaching. Having grown up with ADHD and requiring special education services himself, Adam understands firsthand how movement, structure, and nutrition can dramatically improve both physical and cognitive performance.
Today, Adam is known for delivering intelligent, inclusive, and results-driven training that meets clients exactly where they are—while helping them exceed what they believed was possible.

Training with Adam has brought my workouts and body mechanics knowledge to a new level. I’ve been working out for many years and consider myself a veteran lifter but I always look for little “tweaks” to my form and routine to keep things fresh and challenging. Even after our first session, I was able to learn, adapt and implement new approaches to my leg routine that have resulted in growth, strength and sustained enthusiasm as I have four different leg routines to choose from now (depending where I’m feeling on that particular day). Adam has been able to help me modify different exercises and combinations of exercises to compensate for a myriad of injuries and internal hardware this old hockey player has. His easy going nature and willingness to share his knowledge in a fun and respectful manner will be appreciated by veteran and novice lifters/athletes/fitness enthusiasts and reforming couch potatoes alike.
