Meet Our Yoga Instructors

Brittany Schreiber: Hi there! I’m Brittany, a passionate Registered 200 Hour Yoga teacher since 2018, as well as a Certified School Psychologist. With a deep-rooted passion for working with children with special needs and fostering their growth and development, I am currently the Lead Yoga Teacher at the Cornerstone Foundation as well as the Lead Yoga Teacher at YogaSix.

My journey in yoga began over 6 years ago, and since then, I’ve dedicated myself to expanding my knowledge and skills. I completed a 200-hour RYT training in yoga, with specializations in Vinyasa, Children’s Yoga, Chair Yoga, Breast Cancer Yoga, Special Needs Yoga, Iyengar, Restorative Yoga, Prenatal, Ayurveda, Yoga Nidra, Pranayama, Anatomy and Physiology, and Hatha Yoga.

What sets me apart is my extensive experience working with children with various needs, including autism, ADHD, anxiety, depression, intellectual impairments, physical impairments, and more. I have experience at Eastern Suffolk BOCES in the Premm Learning Center where I worked with students who have significant developmental and physical disabilities. As a Certified School Psychologist, I have a deep understanding of child development and the importance of providing a supportive and inclusive environment.

I believe in inspiring others to improve their wellness and commit to long-term health and fitness goals, especially those with special needs. Whether it’s through dynamic Vinyasa flows, gentle Restorative sessions, or specialized classes like Children’s Yoga or Chair Yoga, my focus is on empowering students to embrace their unique strengths and capabilities, regardless of their abilities or challenges. I have worked with children with the most extreme disabilities and find it to be the most rewarding job in the world.

My approach is individualized to the student’s needs. I strive to create a space where everyone feels welcome and supported on their yoga journey. Let’s work together to cultivate mindfulness, strength, and resilience, both on and off the mat!

Brittany brings such a beautiful energy to all of her classes. In the short time I’ve started going to her classes I’ve grown within my mind and body! She is truly the best

Adam Augenstein: Adam Augenstein is a certified yoga instructor, breathwork coach, and movement specialist who integrates yoga, mindfulness, and strength principles to help clients build balanced bodies and calmer minds.

Adam began practicing yoga in 2008 as a complement to his strength training, using it as a tool for recovery, focus, breath control, and mental clarity. Over time, yoga became a cornerstone of his personal routine—providing balance, resilience, and intentionality alongside his athletic training.

In 2024, Adam completed his 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, with education rooted in both Barkan and YogaSix methodologies. He currently teaches private sessions and group classes and serves as the General Manager of YogaSix Lake Grove.

Adam’s private yoga sessions go far beyond poses. His teaching emphasizes:
    •    Breathwork and nervous system regulation
    •    Meditation and visualization
    •    Functional mobility and joint health
    •    Adapted yoga for individuals with special needs

He is especially passionate about making yoga accessible and inclusive, offering customized private sessions for beginners, athletes, individuals managing ADHD, and clients with physical or neurological challenges.

Adam’s approach is calm, supportive, and highly personalized—designed to help clients feel safer in their bodies, more present in their minds, and more connected to their breath.

His mission: to help you move better, breathe deeper, and cultivate clarity and confidence—on and off the mat.
